Pickens County Sheriff: Man found dead believed to be homicide victim

View Comments A man found dead in his home in Easley on Monday has been identified as Heyward “Trey” Delno Price III, according to Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley. His death is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Pickens County Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Office. Price was found dead in his home at 207 Shade Tree Circle. In a press release, Kelley said Price died of a gunshot wound. The coroner s office will not be releasing any more information on the victim due to the current investigation into his death. There were no weapons found at the scene.

View Comments A vehicle of interest has been identified by the Pickens County Sheriff s Office in the homicide investigation involving a man found dead in his home on Monday, according to a press release from Chief Deputy Chad Brooks.  Brooks is requesting help from the public to find an orange minivan, similar to a Dodge Caravan. Anyone with information regarding the vehicle of interest or with information on the incident is asked to call the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office at (864) 898-5500 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC. 3 motorcycle drivers killed in Greenville, Pickens counties in 2 days

Meanwhile, in Easley, another fatal motorcycle accident occurred Wednesday on Powdersville Road, where a motorcyclist was killed after striking the passenger side of a vehicle. Truman Jennings Ackermann, 20, was identified as that motorcycle driver, according to Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelly. Authorities had not publicly identified the driver of the Suzuki who was killed Wednesday night in Greenville County as of 12:10 p.m. Thursday, and neither had the driver of a Harley-Davidson who was killed Tuesday on Main Street in Taylors been identified. The collisions marked three deaths for motorcycle drivers over the course of two days in Greenville and Pickens counties.
