NFL Football: Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 8:20 pm (Bills Stadium)
The Buffalo Bills face off with the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday in week 14 NFL action at Bills Stadium in Orachard Park.
The Pittsburgh Steelers look for their 12th victory, as they haven’t lost back-to-back games since the end of last season. The Pittsburgh Steelers have won five straight road games. Ben Roethlisberger is completing 66.9 percent of his passes for 3,105 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Roethlisberger has two or more touchdown passes in six of his last seven games. Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool have combined for 1,303 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while JuJu Smith-Schuster has 73 receptions. The Pittsburgh Steelers ground game is averaging 92.6 yards per contest, and James Conner leads the way with 645 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively,
Never underestimate leadership.
Often times when an NFL team has great veteran leadership it is undervalued as it’s not usually something measurable on the field of play. But when a team is missing veteran leadership, it can become very apparent very quickly.
It’s not like the Pittsburgh Steelers have been without any leadership while center Maurkice Pouncey has been on the Reserve/COVID-19 List. Ben Roethlisberger is still the leader this offense needs, but do not undervalue the leadership contribution of Pouncey.
The Steelers have two offensive captains Ben Roethlisberger and Maurkice Pouncey. The reason they are both there is because they are both vitally important, and not just to the rest of the team but to each other. Both players have often been tied to each other when it comes to the remainder of their careers. They know the importance the other one brings.
