Knowlton Speaks on Tiz the Law Retirement
A couple of weeks ago it was announced that Belmont and Travers winner Tiz the Law would be retired. Managing partner of Sackatoga Stable Jack Knowlton addressed everything that happened with Tiz and wrapped up his career. Make sure to listen above!
RODGER S QUICK TAKE: While its great to finally see the Cleveland Browns win a playoff game, the performance of the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday night was downright embarrassing and surprising. Head coach Mike Tomlin usually has his team mentally prepared to play, but that wasn’t the case against the Browns. I hope Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger comes back for the final year of his contract, because he doesn’t want to end his Hall of Fame Career on one of the worst games he’s ever played.

My weekend started out with my friend Carla coming over to enjoy some cheese & crackers & wine on Friday night. We also watched Bee Gees videos. Yes, Bee Gees. What can I tell you. we grew up listening to their music and the topic came up, because there s a documentary out about them & Carla watched it.
Saturday morning, I had to pop into the radio station to do just a little bit of work. Didn t take me long, thank goodness.
Then, the rest of the day, I watched football. NFL playoffs started with a tripleheader on Saturday & yes, I watched every game.. minus any time I may have fallen asleep on the couch during the Rams-Seahawks matchup.

This NFL season saw the Cleveland Browns not only make the playoffs for the first time since 2002-03, but also pick up their first playoff victory since January 1, 1995 (when the former Browns franchise, now the Baltimore Ravens, was coached by Bill Belichick, and beat the Bill Parcells-coached New England Patriots). That came with a 48-37 road win over the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday, the same team they beat 24-22 last Sunday to clinch a playoff berth. It was the Browns’ first win in Pittsburgh since 2003, and they did it without head coach Kevin Stefanski and several key players and assistant coaches, who were ruled out thanks to COVID-19 protocols.
LeBron James and more celebrate Cleveland Browns making the NFL playoffs
First Ohio State and now the Cleveland Browns. What a weekend for the state of Ohio. On Friday, the Buckeyes crushed Clemson in the semifinals of the College Football Playoff and will face Alabama in the national championship game. Then on Sunday, the Browns broke the NFL s longest playoff drought. By beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Cleveland earned a wild-card spot, their first NFL postseason berth in 18 years.
With the streak snapped, notable Ohioans LeBron James and Drew Carey, along with many others, took to social media to celebrate.
