PINELLAS, Fla. (WWSB) - Gov. DeSantis has directed that the flags of the United States and Florida shall be flown at half-staff to honor the memory of a Pinellas County Sheriffs deputy. This will be effective from sunrise to sunset, Tuesday, Feb. 23.
Deputy Michael Magli was killed in the line of duty on Feb. 17 as a result of a vehicle crash. Magli served the community for over seven years in the Pinellas County Sheriff’s office.

HACKERS infiltrated a water treatment plant in a Florida town on Friday and tried to poison the water supply, police have revealed.
The hackers broke into the facility serving Oldsmar, a town near Tampa, Florida, and increased the sodium hydroxide amount from 100 parts per million to 11,100 parts per million for a short time frame.

“In these mega quantities, it s a caustic substance,” Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said on Monday.
An operator at the plant noticed the mouse on a screen moving at 8am and 1:30pm.
