Of these, 5,049 were from the Pune Municipal Corporation ( Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation ( PCMC) limits, 1,697 from rural areas, 502 from the councils and 162 from the cantonment areas. This brings the cumulative number of patients discharged in the district to 5,86,459 patients. There were also 10,963 fresh new cases reported in the district on Friday, bringing the total COVID-positive cases to 6,96,933 cases till Friday. A total of 5,373 fresh cases were recorded in the PMC limits, 2,529 in the PCMC limits, 2,384 in the rural areas, 566 in the council areas and 111 from the cantonment limits.
