Looking at improved situation, dy CM likely to allow extended timings for shops in district.
In major relief for citizens and shop owners of Pune district, the state government is mulling an extension of the timings of shops and restaurants from the current deadline of 4 pm,
deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar said on Saturday.
Pawar also said the state government is reportedly considering granting exemptions from
COVIDinduced restrictions to the fully-vaccinated people. He said a decision on granting relaxations on the weekends is likely to be decided next week.
Pawar, who is also the guardian minister for the district, chaired the COVID review meeting in the city on Saturday, which was attended by officials from district administration, Zilla Parishad officials, elected members and people’s representatives from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) as well as Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).
