Colorado to run Pueblo vaccine clinic Testing site moving back to mall

The Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment has announced the opening of a state-run regional vaccination clinic at the Colorado State Fairgrounds, to open on March 22. The fairgrounds have been host to the county s COVID testing site. The testing site will move to the Pueblo Mall beginning Monday. This also comes in conjunction with a new phase of vaccinations to be open for those who are age 50 or older, are in one of several categories of frontline essential workers, or are age 16-49 with at least one high-risk condition. Staffers of the community vaccine clinic and the health department have focused on vaccinating the whole community through phases for several months, and aim to get those in the current eligible phase vaccinated as soon as possible. To this end, the Pueblo Emergency Operations Center leaders have opted to let the state take over the Pueblo Vaccine Clinic.

District 70 employees gearing up for vaccinations

Pueblo Educators are gearing up for vaccinations PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) - Pueblo District 70 educators are gearing up for their first chance to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment along with the Pueblo Emergency Operations Center will hold a vaccine clinic for the group on Feb. 13 and 14. The clinic comes after the state announced in January that teachers would be included in the next phase of vaccinations set to start Feb. 8.   District officials sent a signup form to all employees in early January in anticipation of the next step in the process. Officials used that information to put together contact lists for the health department. The department will use that list to contact educators with vaccine appointment information.
