IRVINE, CA An Orange County man was found guilty of working with a crew to commit multiple armed robberies at Southern California cell phone stores.He was sentenced to 114 months in federal prison, the Justice Department announced Thursday.
Anthony Wimbley, 28, of Irvine, was sentenced on Monday by United States District Judge Jesus G. Bernal. Wimbley pleaded guilty in September 2020 to one count of Hobbs Act robbery and one count of using a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
Man, woman arrested for Whataburger drive-thru aggravated assault

BEAUMONT, Texas Beaumont Police have arrested two people accused of assaulting a man in a Whataburger drive-thru.
Timothy Walker, 45, and Queenasia Jones, 24, are in custody for an aggravated assault that happened on Jan. 17. The two were arrested on Wednesday, March 3 after warrants were issued for them.
Officers say the Beaumont man and woman were in a white BMW with no license plates in the fast food drive-thru around 1 a.m. when it happened.
Jonathan Menard, 35, from Texas, has been charged with tampering with evidence in the death of his pregnant girlfriend, 33-year-old Kayla Rice, whose body was found in Louisiana last month.
