Fiona Thatcher was a junior lawyer in Timothy Leschke s infrastructure projects team when, she said, late on Friday night in July 2015 he sent her a string of texts aggressively demanding sex.
Leschke, who was an associate, then appeared at her apartment complex and rang her security buzzer for 15 minutes, reported the Australia Financial Review, and sent her a similarly demanding text the following morning.

It was a surprise appearance in Canberra from the 26-year-old, her first since she went public with her story. The crowd was hushed and people sobbed audibly as she composed herself while MC Julia Zemiro angrily told cameras to back off. “My story was on the front page for the sole reason that it was a painful reminder to women that it can happen in Parliament House and can truly happen anywhere,” a strained and visibly distressed Higgins told the crowd.
