HEMET, CA The Hemet-Ryan Airport, along with two other county airports, will be seeing wildlife deterrent programs implemented for the protection of pilots and animals alike.
The Board of Supervisors signed off Tuesday on a $650,970 contract between Riverside County and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to use the federal agency s biologists for implementing wildlife deterrent programs at French Valley Airport near Murrieta, Hemet-Ryan Airport and Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport in Thermal.
The five-year agreement, which the board approved without comment, will require USDA staff to oversee Wildlife Hazard Management Plans.
