KUALA LUMPUR: All efforts to ensure that integrity remains strong in the police force must continue even after Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador retires as the Inspector-General of Police, says Tan Sri Musa Hassan.
Musa, a former inspector-general of police himself, said whoever succeeded Abdul Hamid should ensure that efforts to clean up the police force continued.
“There should be continuity in dealing with matters of integrity, especially regarding the issue of a cartel within the police force.
“The current IGP has done a lot to improve integrity within the police force, but it is up to his successor to follow up on such efforts, ” he told reporters after delivering a keynote address at an event to welcome allied members to the Selangor and Federal Territory Industrial Security Society (SWISS) yesterday.
