Ending the uncertainty looming over Class 12 exams, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled the exams.
The exams were cancelled in the wake of rise in COVID-19 cases.
Along with CBSE and CISCE, several state boards have all cancelled the Class 12 exam, while several others said that they will take the decision soon.

Madhya Pradesh on May 29 approved a phase-wise unlocking of the corona curfew restrictions from June 1.
However, the weekend lockdown will continue to be in force across the state.
The state currently has 30,899 active coronavirus cases.
New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh on Saturday (May 29, 2021) approved a phase-wise unlocking of the corona curfew restrictions from June 1, however, the weekend lockdown will continue to be in effect across the state.
He informed that the weekend curfew from 10 PM on Saturdays to 6 AM on Mondays will continue irrespective of unlocking of coronavirus-induced curbs. Based on these guidelines and local COVID-19 situation and circumstances, the crisis management committees at the district, ward, block and village levels will take decisions about unlocking their respective areas from June 1, the Chief Minister added.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday took a dig at West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee by calling her conduct an insult to people of Bengal .
