New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization says those impacted by the storm have until Jan. 15 to report any damage. NBEMO said nearly 250 New Brunswickers have registered damage to date, but registrations have dwindled over the past two weeks. It is estimated more than 200 millimetres of rain fell between Nov. 30 and Dec. 2, with much of the damage being reported in the Sussex area.

New Brunswick started its COVID-19 vaccination campaign today with the inoculation of a long-term care facility resident. Eighty-four-year old Pauline Gauvin, a resident of Shannex Losier Hall in Miramichi, was the first recipient of the vaccine in the province. New Brunswick is the last province in the country to begin its vaccination campaign. It plans to inoculate 1,950 people with their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, to be followed by a second shot three weeks later.
