Airedale has now seen 180 hospital deaths from Covid-19 THERE has been one further death from Covid-19 in the Bradford district s hospitals recorded today. The death occurred at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, taking the total number of deaths at the Trust to 180, and the total in the district s hospitals to 615. Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has seen 433 deaths, and Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has seen two. A further 339 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 46,122, NHS England has confirmed. Patients were aged between 44 and 100-years-old. All except 13, aged between 64 and 95, had known underlying health conditions.

The charity, which sent some of the funds to Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust, Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust and Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said it was part of its ongoing commitment to supporting health services in the region. The funding will help staff training and morale and develop new infrastructure. So far, the £276,000 has helped to fund initiatives including nursing training and development programmes, NHS staff recognition awards and investment in new services and treatment units.

Three Covid hospital deaths in Bradford, while none at Airedale | Bradford Telegraph and Argus

THREE further Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported in the Bradford district today. All of those deaths were at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, while Airedale did not report any deaths. Of the patients at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, one person died on December 2, another on November 29 and a further death on November 28. It means the total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district, according to NHS figures, now stands at 614 - 433 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals; 179 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust reported two further deaths, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust reported one and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which includes Pinderfields, reported six.

Dr Mahendra Patel, the national BAME community and pharmacy lead for University of Oxford s PRINCIPLE trial, warned that the vaccine alone is not enough to curb the virus and rising hospital admissions. Dr Patel asked Bradfordians to ask if Christmas celebrations are worth a gamble with the potential loss of life as a direct result. He added that many families who are not part of the Christian faith will also be mixing.
