Officers with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Police Department, Georgia Department of Corrections K9 unit and Georgia Department of Supervision descended on a Penor Street residence at noon on Thursday, July 8 after receiving information that a man inside the residence was in possession of methamphetamine. Antwain Deon “A1” Williams, 27, of Madison, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related items after law enforcement officers used a Fourth Amendment search warrant to enter Williams’ residence on Penor Street. According to Lt. Brandon Sellers, Investigations Division, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement officers allegedly located a half ounce of suspected methamphetamine in a bedroom in the residence. The suspected methamphetamine was packaged in a plastic bag, Sellers said.
