The Brant County Health Unit on Thursday reported three new cases of COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours.
The brings to 12 the number of new cases recorded for the first three days of this week.

After a record 167 cases for the week ended Jan. 10, numbers been declined to 117 for the week ended Jan. 17, 45 for the week ended Jan. 24 and 44 for the week ended Jan. 31.

The Brant County Health Unit on Wednesday reported six new cases of COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours.
Eight more people have recovered from the virus, lowering the number of active cases to 37.

Since the onset of the pandemic there have been 1,361 confirmed cases. Of those, 1,315 have been resolved, while nine people have died.
Currently, there are five people being treated at Brantford General Hospital for the virus.
Of the six new cases, five are are Brantford residents, four are males, three are in the 20 to 39 year age group, while there is one new case in each of the under-20, 40 to 59 and 60 to 79 age ranges.

The Brant County Health Unit on Tuesday reported three new cases of COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours.
That brings the cumulative number of cases since the virus began last March to 1,355 and leaves 38 known active cases in the community.

On Monday, the health unit announced the ninth local COVID-19 death a man in his 50s, who got the virus through community transmission. On the weekend, a woman in her 80s, who was in close contact with an active case, was identified as the eighth local death.

The Brant County Health Unit on Friday reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours.
The new cases bring to 35 the number of people in Brantford-Brant who have tested positive for the first four days of this week.
For the week ended Jan. 24, 45 new cases were reported, down from 117 for the week ended Jan. 17 and a record 167 for the week ended Jan. 10.

The new positive tests bring to 1,327 the number of people in Brantford-Brant who have tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic. Of those, 1,268 have been been resolved.
