Confusion surrounding who is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination was cleared up Monday.
The Ontario government announced that, starting Tuesday, all adults will be eligible to book their COVID-19 vaccine through the province’s website.

Bookings will open at 8 a.m. for anyone turning 18 or older this year. The province has said that it will open eligibility to those aged 12 to 18 for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on May 31.

The number of COVID patients in Brantford General Hospital continues to fall.
According to the Brant Community Healthcare System website, eight COVID positive patients were receiving care on Friday, with six in critical care and two listed as other.

The Brant County Health Unit website lists 11 COVID patients in BGH but a spokesperson said the agency’s tally can sometimes lag behind the BCHS numbers.
At one point last month, BGH saw a record 28 COVID patients, with many from outside the area.
New COVID-19 cases remain high in Brantford-Brant.
The Brant County Health Unit reported Thursday 29 new cases in the past 24 hours but noted that five of those cases belong to another health unit.

It was the second straight day with 29 cases. On Tuesday, 30 new cases were reported.
As for active cases, there are 163, the same number that was reported Wednesday.
Hospitalizations also remain the same with 15 people receiving care at Brantford General Hospital on Thursday. There are eight patients in critical care and seven listed as other.
