A Brantford woman and a Toronto man, both 26, have been charged after police seized firearms and more than $10,000 worth of drugs from a city home.
Police were called to a disturbance involving several people at about 11 p.m. on Friday at a home in the area of Diana Avenue and Blackburn Drive.

During the disturbance, a man was seen pointing a gun at another person, police said.
During a search of the home, officers found two loaded handguns, about 635 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms), 30 grams of cocaine and a quantity of hydrocodone.

Brantford police’s major crime unit and the Officer of the Chief Coroner are investigating the discovery of what appears to be a human skull.
Police said a person found the suspected human remains on Saturday in a remote area of a field in a north-end industrial area.

Police said that, until a postmortem corner’s examination is completed, no further information is available.

The discovery of what appears to be a human skull is being investigated by the major crimes unit of the Brantford Police Service and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
Police say someone found the suspected human remains on Saturday. The skull was found in a remote area of a field located in an industrial area in the north end of Brantford, police said in a media release.
