The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is working assiduously to ensure that Law and Order is maintained across the country, in the wake of the explosive eruption of La Soufriere Volcano.
Commissioner of Police, Collin John said that Police Officers are continuing to conduct their regular patrols, in addition to maintaining security at Emergency Shelters.
Commissioner John said when the explosive eruption occurred in April the Police Force was stretched to its limit, and received assistance from the Regional Security System (RSS).

Thirty-one new officers emerged from Recruit Course #45 last Thursday at SGU Campus, Point Salines, St. George.
The graduation was conducted under the theme “Advancing with alacrity, dedication and commitment”.
Commissioner of Police, Edvin Martin addressing the cadre of new police officers, congratulated the graduands on the successful completion of their recruitment training. He also had special commendations for the commandant and staff of the police training school who he said has done an excellent job in moulding and shaping the newly enlisted officers into the next generation of law enforcement professionals.
