A power loom factory was gutted in a devastating fire that broke out in the wee hours of Friday in
Bhiwandi.
According to preliminary information, the fire broke out around 2:20 am. Fortunately, no injury was reported in the incident.
However, the factory was totally destroyed.
Thane Municipal Corporation s Regional Disaster Management Cell (
RDMC), chief,
Santosh Kadam said that the fire broke out at the factory situated on Naigaon Road.
As soon as the firefighters from the Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation were alerted, they reached the spot and the fire was doused after about two hours, he said.
At least 15 vehicles were gutted in a fire that broke out at a garage on Wednesday.

No casualty or injury was reported, said Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of Thane Municipal Corporation (
