It s unlikely that anyone expected everything to return to normal once the calendar turned to 2021.
Nothing magically erased what the industry and world went through last year. The shameful events that occurred in Washington on Jan. 6 where a mob of armed President Trump supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol Building, disrupting the counting of the electoral votes from the 2020 presidential election and leaving destruction in their wake were a quick wakeup call that the New Year would start with much of the same difficulties and drama of 2020.

Marko Ibrahim, who joined Bridgestone Americas in 2018, has been tapped to lead the company s Retail Operations division. He succeeds Joe Venezia, who s been in the role since 2017, according to a press release.
Ibrahim will focus on boosting profitability, customer count and efficiency. Bridgestone s retail operations (BSRO) is a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas.
The BRO division has more than 2,200 locations under the Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus and Wheel Works brands.
Ibrahim joined Bridgestone in February 2018 as vice president of stores and was promoted to senior vice president of stores in 2020. Bridgestone Americas subsidiary Bridgestone Retail Operations announced Friday that Marko Ibrahim has been named president.
Based in Nashville, Ibrahim replaces Joe Venezia, who led the tire giant s retail group since 2017 before leaving to serve as executive vice president and COO of The Michaels Companies.
With a network of more than 2,200 locations, BSRO operates what it bills as the world’s largest company-owned network of tire and automotive service centers nationwide under the Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus and Wheel Works brands. Ibrahim joined the company in February 2018 as VP of stores and was promoted to senior VP in 2020. As president, he will lead BSRO’s 23,000 nationwide employees serving serve more than 20 million customers annually.
