Main Concerns About COVID-19 Vaccines Are Over Safety and Necessity: UK Survey
The main reasons behind some British peoples’ reluctance to get a CCP virus vaccine are concerns over the jabs’ safety and necessity, a new survey has found.
According to survey results released on Friday by Britain’s Office for National Statistics (ONS), people are unsure about getting a COVID-19 jab mainly because they do not believe they are safe or they do not think it is necessary to get vaccinated.
The most common concern was about the safety of the vaccines, including their immediate side effects and longer-term impacts.

ABY BOOMERS, aged 57-75, are as the name implies, plentiful. Healthier and more adventurous than similarly aged cohorts in the past, since 2018 over-65s have outnumbered the under-fives. They are also wealthier. America’s boomer-led households spend $64,000 a year, almost twice as much as those headed by youngsters born from 1997 onwards. Together with the earlier “silent” generation, they account for two-fifths of American consumer spending. Yet brands and retailers have long given older shoppers short shrift, focusing most of their attention on the wrinkle-free. As with many things, the pandemic is demanding a rethink.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister and Health Ministry, it says that the Israeli government on Friday decided to prohibit travel of Israeli citizens to seven countries over high Covid-19 morbidity and fear of the spread of variants of the virus. The seven are Ukraine, Ethiopia, Brazil, South Africa, India, Mexico and Turkey, the Xinhua news agency reported. The ban will take effect on Monday, and will last at least 13 days, the statement said.
The decision follows a ministry s warning against travel to the seven destinations, reflecting both the current situation and the morbidity levels according to several criteria such as the countries declarations, the percentage of vaccination and recovery, and evidence of variants.

LONDON, May 1 (Xinhua) Britons need to be patient for a short period ahead of the next planned relaxation of coronavirus restrictions in England on May 17, a government advisory scientist said Saturday.
There is very good news in the progress of the pandemic but there is still a potential for that spark to reignite and cause infections to rise, professor Mark Wolport, a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE), told the BBC.
It is important not to repeat the mistakes of the past in reopening social life too soon as many people were still not vaccinated yet, said Wolport, as the government is facing calls to open the economy even sooner.
