Woodward Stabbing Update 6:44 pm
Centre County authorities released few new details Thursday surrounding the fatal stabbing of a man that happened in Woodward last week.
Investigators say 26-year-old Robert Farwell was found outside a Haines Township home with a stab wound April 8.
Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna held a press conference regarding the ongoing investigation where he provided an outline of events.
Cantorna says dispatchers received a 911 call at 4:28 a.m. regarding a stabbing and EMS arrived to the scene 21 minutes later, at 4:49 a.m. when they began performing life-saving measures on Farwell.
Canotorna says Brittany Guisewhite was taken to the Rockview State Police Barracks for a statement.
Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna and state police officials said on Thursday it could be several months before the investigation of a fatal stabbing last week in Penns Valley is completed.
Following a 911 call at about 4:30 a.m. on April 8, state police troopers and EMS personnel found 26-year-old Robert Farwell, of Spring Township, unresponsive outside the Haines Township home of Brittany Guisewhite, Cantorna said.
Farwell was taken by EMS to Mount Nittany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:58 a.m. A preliminary autopsy report confirmed he died of a single stab wound to the chest. Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers ruled the death a homicide.
