Applications for entry to the 2021 RYA Eric Twiname Youth and Junior Team Racing Championships are open ahead of the event s return to Oxford Sailing Club this autumn.
Held at Farmoor Reservoir, Oxford, on October 9 and 10 in conjunction with the Eric Twiname Trust, young sailors will compete in Firefly and RS Feva dinghies for the prestigious titles.
The annual two-day event will welcome teams from clubs across the country, as well as junior and youth class associations, RYA regions, schools and individual teams to commence battle inthe two separate events.
The 2021 event marks a welcome return for the regatta, which was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

After windfoiling was chosen to replace the RS:X windsurfer for the two Olympic cycles following Tokyo 2020, the iQFOiL class was named as the equipment of choice
The iQFOiL youth windfoiling class has become a British Youth Sailing Recognised Class in recognition of the exciting new discipline s inclusion at the Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
After windfoiling was chosen to replace the RS:X windsurfer for the two Olympic cycles following Tokyo 2020, the iQFOiL class was named as the equipment of choice.
After careful consideration, British Youth Sailing has chosen to adopt the iQFOiL youth class as a Recognised Class, replacing the RS:X.
