The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has decided to provide provisional university admissions to final year A level students whose exams have been postponed to the October-November session.
The students will be given admissions for Fall 2021 so that they don’t waste an entire educational year.
âHEC after consultations with the Covid-19 oversight committee representing vice-chancellors from each province and region and heads of a few private sector universities has agreed to provide provisional admission to A2 students in the Fall 2021 semester so that they would not waste a session,â stated a press release issued by commission.

Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood on Tuesday announced that all examinations, including Cambridge International’s ongoing O/A-Level exams, will be postponed until June 15 in light of the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
Flanked by Special Assistant to the P.M. on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan, he told a press conference that from April 18 when the last meeting of the education ministry had been held till now, the number of coronavirus cases across Pakistan had rapidly increased. To curb its spread, he said the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) had decided to postpone all exams until June 15. The sole exception, he said, would be students of A2, who must sit the examinations now

ISLAMABAD: Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood was assured by the British Council Pakistan on Thursday that the body will ensure that all coronavirus standard operating procedures are followed during the upcoming O and A level examinations. The head of British Council and Cambridge in Pakistan came to see me today. They [British Council] assured me that all SOPs for conducting the exam would be strictly followed, tweeted the minister with a picture of the representatives in a meeting with him.
