Freight Forwarding Association Welcomes Extra Apprenticeship Cash Government Money Available Now UK – The news that extra government money for hiring new apprentices is now open for applications has been praised by the British International Freight Association (BIFA) which is encouraging its members to take advantage of the increased incentive payments that are now available. The announcement on 1 June raised the bar on the payments meaning that from that date until 30 November the incentive payments equal £3,000 for new apprentices of any age who join their organisation from 1 April 2021 to 30 September 2021. The incentive payment is in addition to the £1,000 employers already receive for hiring an apprentice aged 16 to 18 years old or under 25 with an education, health and care plan, or who has been in the care of their local authority.
