More riders return as TheRide lifts capacity limits for Ann Arbor area buses

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Community members venturing out of their homes can now use buses from the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) for non-essential trips.
The area public transportation authority announced that it was welcoming back more riders and lifting capacity limits on its fleet of fixed-route buses and on-demand services.
Users are still required to wear masks, per an order from the Transportation Security Administration.

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority, TheRide, will begin transporting residents to the COVID vaccination site at Eastern Michigan University’s Convocation Center.
The service is set to begin in partnership with the Washtenaw County Health Department on Wednesday, March 17, officials announced.
Anyone with a scheduled appointment at the Washtenaw County Health Department’s vaccine site may use the services, TheRide said.
