With just over a month-and-a-half until students return to the University of Wisconsin-Madison residence halls, university officials say 92.5% of those who plan to live on campus plan to be fully vaccinated by the time they move in. According to a survey conducted by the Division of University Housing in late June, another 3.2% of students who plan to live on campus said they plan to get vaccinated once they get on campus. “We’re pleased to see so many students choosing vaccination, which is the most effective way to prevent COVID-19,” said Jeff Novak, director of University Housing. “Having a highly vaccinated community helps protect everyone, including those who cannot be vaccinated.”
