A Yate nurse crashed her car while at more than four times the alcohol limit.
Mum-of-two Heidi Smith, of Kingscote, ploughed her grey Ford into a brick wall metres from her home at 5.50pm on December 14.
The 38-year-old, a member of Yate’s district nursing team, had 142mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
Bristol Magistrates’ Court heard on Tuesday (February 16) how the future of Smith’s job is uncertain. She has been outsourced to a private firm but could be retrained to administer coronavirus vaccines.
