DOST vows continued support to Aruga sa Batang may Cancer Initiative

CALOOCAN CITY, April 21 (PIA)  The Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), in partnership with the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and the support of USAID-Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) and New Zealand Aid, recently brought together public service continuity (PSCP) experts to provide technical consultation on the draft public service continuity plans of government organizations from the first batch of the PSCP Mentorship program. The lecturers came from both the private sector and academe: Enrique Victor Pampolina (Deloitte), Cristian Caong (JG Summit), Nestor Dabi (BC Consultant), Miguel Angelo Guttierez (PLDT), and Dr. Eula Bianca Villar (Asian Institute of Management). They gave lectures on business and public service continuity in the time of COVID-19 and the implementation of their continuity program.

The corporate social responsibility initiative of the MVP Group of Companies, ‘Tulong Kapatid”, distributed over 7,800 meals for COVID frontliners in nine hospitals over the weekend. Now, the group intends to carry out the feeding program for more hospitals and healthcare facilities for the whole month of April and “will continue to do so as needed”, according to Tulong Kapatid’s statement issued today (April 6) “to express its thanks to as many frontliners as possible”.

TPB extends suspension of subsidized RT-PCR test for tourists; find out when it will resume

(Krisztian Bocsi/Bloomberg) In an advisory posted on its social media pages, the TPB said it will continue to refrain from endorsing applications for the 50 percent RT-PCR test subsidy at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) and the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) from April 5 to 11. This was after the government decided to extend the prevailing enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila, Laguna, Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal–collectively known as “NCR-plus”– during the same period. TPB said it will resume providing endorsements to their partner hospitals on Friday, April 9, for those scheduled to depart from April 12 onwards.
