Army’s 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division Commander, Major General Eric Vinoya, said that any information relayed by the locals and communities against the Communists Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army Terrorists (CNT) will be acted promptly. He said that the recent successful armed engagements of the Army in Iloilo towns can be attributed to the vigilance, support and cooperation of the peace-loving people in the area. “In order for the Army to remain at the upper hand in the fight against the CPP-NPA Terrorists we need to be relentless in our operations against this group. Aside from the courts, we can explore the possibility of elevating our concerns before the United Nations, and the CHR,” she further said.
