Health Department: To register for a vaccination appointment online through the county health department, visit https://covid19.tn.gov/covid-19-vaccines/vaccine-phases/. Click Montgomery County on the map, click “Make an Appointment” to register, then enter the name and contact information to be notified of the appointment date, time and location as soon as the vaccine becomes available.
Individuals who do not have access to the internet should call 866-442-5301 to make an appointment.
3 FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. Soldiers from Blanchfield Army Community Hospital recently participated in K9 Tactical Combat Casualty Care to enhance their ability to provide point of injury care to military working dogs in a deployed environment.
“Our 68Ws (combat medical specialists) are on the front lines and so are our military working dogs, and often we are not. So when those military working dogs are hurt in the line of fire, the first person to see them and get hands on them are our medics. So it’s important for the [medics] to know when they have this injured military working dog what they can do and how they can save this dog’s life.” said Capt. CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital on Fort Campbell will be offering a COVID-19 vaccination day to all TRICARE beneficiaries ages 16 and older on Saturday, May 1.
“The COVID-19 vaccine continues to be proven safe and effective. A CDC report found both Pfizer’s and Moderna’s vaccines reduced the risk of infection by 80 percent after the first dose and 90 percent following the second dose,” Col. Patrick T. Birchfield, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital commander, said in a news release.
