CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Several members of the Cleveland City Council provided remarks regarding the recent surge in carjackings and the need to capture those involved.
Council president Kevin Kelley was joined by several members, including Kerry McCormack and Blaine Griffin, for a Friday afternoon press conference.
Kelley said pursuits are not being followed enough to capture the carjacking suspects.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The city of Cleveland is asking landlords to find out if lead is present in their rental properties.
“This is not an, ‘I got you moment,’ but it is imperative to protect our children, and we’re going to do that no matter what,” said Cleveland Councilman Blaine Griffin.
Lead can be deadly; roughly 400,000 deaths in the U.S. each year are due to lead exposure.
