PHOENIX â A 17-year-old boy was found dead after he was allegedly involved in a shooting that happened Thursday night near 19th and Peoria avenues.
Phoenix police said officers found the 17-year-old who had been shot in the roadway.
Witnesses told police they heard several gunshots and saw an unknown man in a dark hoodie fleeing the scene.
An investigation is currently ongoing.

PHOENIX â A man has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after Phoenix police said officers found him with multiple gunshot wounds inside his vehicle early Monday morning.
Phoenix police said officers responded to reports of a shooting near 36th Street and McDowell Road. Officers soon located a 25-year-old man with gunshot wounds inside his vehicle who was then transported to a nearby hospital for his injuries.
According to police, officers learned the victim had allegedly met with unknown suspects in the area of 7th Avenue and McDowell Road. As the victim tried to exit his vehicle, the suspects quickly shot him, according to police.

PHOENIX â Police are looking for a suspect who shot into a west Phoenix store killing a man and injuring a woman.
On Friday night, officers were called to the scene near 83rd Avenue and Indian School.
When police arrived on scene they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Phoenix Police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune.

PHOENIX â A man was shot and killed Saturday during a house party near 28th Street and Greenway Road, according to Phoenix Police Department officials.
Officers were called to a home for reports of shots fired around 2:30 a.m. When they arrived they found a man inside a residence with a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Phoenix Police Sergeant Mercedes Fortune. Police said the victim was identified as 25-year-old Tayvione Smith.
