Responding to increased demand from travelers seeking COVID-19 testing at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, the XpresCheck clinic in Terminal 4 has expanded its hours of operation. XpresCheck will now begin a seven days a week operation in order to provide the increasing number of passengers who are seeking rapid testing before their travel and after, Charlene
Reynolds, Phoenix s interim aviation director, said during a meeting with the Aviation Advisory Board on Feb. 18.
The new hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The clinic had been operating from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays.
The XpresCheck COVID-19 test site offers the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test as well as the Abbott ID NOW COVID-19 test. Per XpresCheck s website, the Abbott rapid tests typically yield results in 30-45 minutes while the PCR tests can take up to five days. The site also offers antibody testing.

American Airlines and Southwest Airlines, the two largest carriers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, together lost about 35,300 employees last year as the air travel industry grappled with its worst-ever crisis.
American and Southwest each disclosed the employee losses in regulatory filings this month. A combination of voluntary employee separations and retirements contributed to the workforce reductions, spokespeople from both companies said. American also restructured its management team in Fort Worth last year, and that came with a 30 percent headcount reduction for those particular functions.
