LAHORE: Interior Minister Sh Rashid, Religious Affairs Minister Pir Noorul Haq Qadri and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar have agreed to launch crackdown on the elements involved in publishing and distribution of literature spreading religious hatred.
The agreement was reached during a meeting here Saturday in which they discussed matters of mutual interest, political affairs and law & order situation.
Promotion of religious harmony was also discussed in the meeting and it was agreed that every step would be taken for further improving law and order and security situation. An across-the-board action against provocative speeches was also decided in the meeting. They agreed on effective coordination between federal and provincial governments for further improving law and order.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Thursday bringing reforms in the country’s criminal justice system is the top priority of the government so that, like the upper classes, the common man could also get justice without any hassle.
“It (criminal justice system) is the most important sector and, therefore, we want to bring reforms in it,” he said while addressing launching ceremony of an online system for issuance of letters of administration and succession certificates.

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Noorul Haq Qadri Saturday said nothing was democratic in the PDM and they were just attempting to create unrest in the country.
He was referring to the anti-government drive of the opposition parties’ alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Addressing a gathering, organised by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Ulema Wing in Samanabad area here, he said the government would never allow derailing of the system. He said conspiracies against Pakistan Army start from New Delhi and reach here via London. He said the Pakistan Army had always played a key role in prosperity, peace and development of the country. He regretted that the opposition, under the banner of PDM, was running a campaign against a prestigious institution of the country.
