The New Orleans-based festival is set to ensure a global audience has complimentary access to participate in its programming, prioritizing the health and safety of its attendees, but the company is still leaving the door open for local activations in global markets wherever it proves both safe and valuable for attendees.

Last year’s festival stood as the first to go virtual, due to the COVID-19 pandemic ,and connected thousands of attendees across 100 countries to experience over 125 events, broadening the depth and reach of its programming and audience. The financial impact of the virus on the spirits industry heavily influenced the company’s decision to go virtual this year, as well.

(Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday revived a civil rights lawsuit filed by a convicted murderer in Texas against a prison guard accused of using pepper spray against him in an unprovoked attack in violation of the constitutional prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment.
The justices threw out a lower court s ruling that had protected corrections officer Tajudeen Alamu from inmate Prince McCoy s lawsuit under a legal defense called qualified immunity that shields government officials from civil litigation in certain circumstances.
