On Saturday around 7:45 p.m., an officer attempted a traffic stop on a car without proper license plate lighting. The car led the officers on a chase down New Orleans Boulevard, according to Houma police. The suspect, identified as Judge Leboef, 24, struck a curb causing the flat tires, police said in an issued news release. Police said they ordered Leboef to exit his car after he struck a fence, but he proceeded to lead police on another chase on Highway 316. According to police, Leboef was taken into custody in the 2000 block of Highway 316 also known as Bayou B
Houma car chase leads to multiple charges
A 24-year-old Houma man was arrested on multiple charges after leading police on a chase Friday on three flat tires, authorities said.
Jude Leboeuf is charged with aggravated flight from an officer, hit-and-run, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of schedule II drugs, possession of a gun with an obliterated serial number, transactions from drug proceeds and several traffic violations, the Houma Police Department said.
While an officer was patrolling New Orleans Boulevard around 7:45 p.m. he spotted a 2011 Honda Accord driving with improper lighting of the license plate and tried to initiate a traffic stop, police said.
