A.I.M. Mutual Expands Coverage Territory to Rhode Island February 5, 2021 A.I.M. Mutual has expanded its coverage territory to Rhode Island. The company, a monoline workers’ compensation carrier based in Massachusetts, was licensed in the Ocean State effective February 1. With the addition of Rhode Island, A.I.M. Mutual now provides workers’ compensation insurance and services throughout New England. In addition to new business opportunities, a key driver of the decision was to better support New England-based businesses by extending coverage of existing accounts with locations in Rhode Island, according to a company press release. A specialist in workers’ compensation for more than 30 years, A.I.M. Mutual added Maine to its market in 2019 and Vermont two years earlier. The company has been in New Hampshire since 2001 and in Connecticut since 2013.

Surf therapy nonprofit finds flagship sponsor with Fall River company

FALL RIVER Towels, pillows and surfboards aren’t usually mentioned in the same breath. But it’s a solid match for a well-known Fall River manufacturer and a unique nonprofit group that uses surfing as therapy for children and adults with cognitive, physical and emotional challenges. The Matouk home decor and linen company, located in Fall River Industrial Park, is now the flagship sponsor of Gnome Surf, according to Christopher Antao, the Fall River native who founded the nonprofit surf-therapy group. Gnome Surf operates from mid May to mid October at South Shore Beach in Little Compton. Antao, executive director of Gnome Surf, said Matouk president and CEO George Matouk, president and CEO of John Matouk & Co has pledged financial support for his organization.
