Breaking ground: Milwaukee Rehabilitation Hospital in Greenfield

A pair of Texas developers, WB Development Partners and New Era Companies, in November announced they had broken ground on a new inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Greenfield. The three-story hospital building will include 40 private rooms and two therapy gyms. The hospital is being built at 3200 S. 103rd St., the site of a former Knights of Columbus building. It will be operated by Allen, Texas-based Nobis Rehabilitation Partners. There, Nobis will treat people with debilitating illnesses and injuries such as strokes, brain injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic diseases. It is expected to open in the fall of 2021 and employ about 120 people.

Two Zero Enterprise Programme: Lancashire social enterprises create 20 new jobs despite lockdown

SOCIAL enterprises around the county have created over 20 new jobs during the lockdown period, according to new figures. The Two Zero Enterprise programme, which carried out the research and works to support such organisations, says they have also grown their combined turnover by more than 40 per cent during the same period all while delivering vital services for communities across the region. The programme has helped many of these organisations meet their communities’ needs with mentoring and training, one key beneficiary being the Burnley based Smile Foundation, which provides mediation and conflict resolution services. Smile Foundation chief executive Karen Ainsworth said: “As a business we were at a tipping point, we were all working at, sometimes over, capacity.
