During the meeting, members elected a vice chair, approved a logo, and voted to transfer authority from the Department of Health to the CRC for activities related to medical marijuana, which launched for patients in 2012.

During the commission’s first-ever meeting on Monday, April 12, Delgado, of Perth Amboy, said he looks forward to working with the other four commissioners to “create a very inclusive, entrepreneurial, and exceptional adult-use cannabis market.”
