Just in time for Christmas this Friday, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy deemed Santa Claus an essential worker, allowing the man in the red suit to bypass the state s quarantine rules. Therefore, what that means boys and girls, he will be allowed to fly on and around New Jersey with his elves and reindeer with unlimited access Christmas Eve and into the wee hours of Christmas morning, said Murphy in a video posted to Twitter on Thursday. He will not have to quarantine. He will behave responsibly–we have that assurance, Murphy continued. And this will be, thanks to Santa coming to New Jersey, a very Merry Christmas.

Organizers say they checked in with the New Jersey Governor and got his blessing to proceed with planning the event that was originally scheduled for the summer of 2020.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is setting himself up for a 2024 presidential run by separating himself from President Donald Trump, taking a hard stance on face masks, and denouncing his home state’s COVID crisis response.
Christie didn’t rule out a possible presidential run in 2024, saying on Fox’s “Guy Benson Show” that he’ll make that decision “whether I want to run for president or not based upon my own personal life, my own professional life.
“But most importantly, do I think I have something to contribute to the country that is unique and different than other people who are running? And if I make that decision, then absolutely, I ll run. And if I don t feel that way, then I won t,” he added.
