New South Wales Health has a venue of concern in the Hunter.
Thornton 7-Eleven at 1 Weakleys Drive was attended by confirmed case of COVID‑19, on Tuesday the 13th of July, from 12.05pm to 12.11pm.
Local physician Dr David Durrheim says risk to the broader community from this exposure is very low. CCTV indicates that masks were worn at all times and there was good social distancing.
However, anyone who attended at the time listed is a casual contact, and must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
Please see the NSW Health website for more information.
“We want to make sure we’ve got a no-regrets policy,” Berejiklian said. Construction will be paused in greater Sydney and many retail stores closed for at least two weeks as the NSW government scrambles to contain the spread of the virulent delta variant. NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced that all retail stores, except for a handful of exceptions, will need to close from midnight until July 30. ‘Click and collect’ takeaway and home delivery can still operate. From Monday, all non-urgent construction will also cease, Ms Berejiklian announced. “We want to get out of this as quickly as possible. This Delta variant has been a challenge for every single nation on the planet,” Berejiklian said.
