New Hope s tourism app uses technology to woo visitors, locals

“What s really great is that we re integrating with the New Hope Visitors Center,” Rausch said.  “If you can almost picture inside the visitors center having posters on the wall, and then all the posters having the QR codes and also NFC (near-field communication), where you can kind of just go near with your phone and it triggers an action,” he said. “We re implementing some really cool things that will really get people engaged, see what s going on, and then take that next step with their phone.” The app’s true purpose, Rausch shares, is using technology to connect people with New Hope’s offerings so they can turn off their device and explore the world around them.
