Mayor Julia Fahl leads City of Lambertville COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ)  The City of Lambertville, in partnership with Penn Medicine Princeton Health, New Hope Celebrates, Fisherman s Mark, Lambertville Public School,  Delaware Valley Food Pantry, and Lambertville Police Department, was successful in providing vaccinations for 130 members of the public through a Vaccination Clinic hosted by Lambertville Hall.  The task force, led by Mayor Julia Fahl, focused on providing opportunities for the community’s Spanish-speaking as well as its low-income population.  The vaccination clinic administered the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and more than 90% of the patients served were members of the community’s Spanish-speaking residents.

Bucks County Courier Times The New Hope Automobile Show will return in person this summer, one of a number of events planned this year by the New Hope-Solebury Community Association to support students of the New Hope-Solebury School District. With many of its events canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the association spent the down time planning a series of events to encourage the community to get out and enjoy the spring and summer weather. These include an outdoor summer concert series, adult and youth tennis and baseball tournaments, and the return of the internationally recognized New Hope Automobile Show.

New Hope Celebrates has adopted the colorful LGBTQ+ Progress Flag in support of traditionally underrepresented groups. The nonprofit organization’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Anti-Racism (IDEAA) committee is working to expand representation of transgender and minority communities, according to New Hope Celebrates president Matt Hanson. “We have many reasons to continue the Pride movement for minority groups of people in our communities, such as transgender individuals and people of color who need and deserve equality,” Hanson said. The IDEAA committee’s commitment to the cause, he says, will be on full display at the annual Flag Unfurling on May 8, when the Progress Flag will be showcased.

We are unable to do a Pride celebration in June. due to COVID-19 restrictions, the organization posted on Facebook. However, they are hoping that COVID-19 restrictions will be moderated (including capacity limits, etc.) so they are planning on hosting a Pride event on Saturday, September 4, 2021 which is the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, actually. The exact nature of their plans has not been announced. Philadelphia s Pride Parade typically runs a 1.5-mile route through the city starting in the heart of the city s Gayborhood at 13th and Locust. It concludes where the festival takes place at the Great Plaza of Penn s Landing.
