Pastor Jerry Young and First Lady Helen Young were honored Sunday by the New Hope church family in recognition of Dr. Young’s 41st pastoral anniversary. The virtual ceremony was held at New Hope Baptist Church where church members and friends were able to participate through Face Book and YouTube. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only a limited number of participants were in the sanctuary located at 1559 Beasley Road in Jackson.
Turnout remains low at FEMA Mass Vaccination Clinic in Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) Turnout at the Mass Vaccination Clinic at the Colorado State Fairgrounds remains low. On Sunday, only 138 people came out to get a dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine.
According to FEMA, the clinic has the capacity to vaccinate 3,000 people a day. Unfortunately, since the federal government took over operations at the clinic on April 14th, only 1,916 doses of the vaccine were administered on the clinic s busiest day.

Across the country, we ve seen reports of hesitancy to get vaccinated, but really what s driving that is hard to know at this point, said Julie Brooks with FEMA. What s going to happen after you get the vaccine are you going to get sick or are you going to miss work. We ve heard anecdotally a lot of that.

Keep Middlesex Moving has developed a transportation finder to help seniors find a ride to their COVID-19 vaccination appointments.
The tool allows users to see what transportation options are available at almost all of the 40-plus vaccination sites in Middlesex County.
The Middlesex County Regional COVID-19 Vaccine Mega-site, operated by RWJBarnabas Health, is seeking volunteers to assist in the efficiency of the registration and vaccination process and help visitors feel comfortable.
Volunteers of the mega-site, located at the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center, 97 Sunfield Ave., Edison, will greet patients and visitors; perform temperature screenings; direct patients through various steps of the vaccination process; provide education materials; and assist with maintaining the registration area and supplying vaccination stations.
