Sudbury faith: Where are the idols?

Author of the article: Rev. Charles Nolting Faith Columnist Publishing date: Mar 07, 2021  •  March 7, 2021  •  3 minute read  •  Article content I recently saw a video of a person who fell off a pleasure boat in some very rough water. What was interesting was that before the hapless swimmer would allow themselves to be picked up by another watercraft in those rough seas, they first held out their cellphone for the rescuer to take from them. On the surface, the incident appeared kind of comical because who would put their cellphone ahead of their own safety? Especially when considering the phone had already been in the water for an amount of time that probably rendered it completely useless.
