PLYMOUTH A Terryville woman accused of fatally shooting her 15-year-old daughter and seriously wounding her 7-year-old son in November pleaded not guilty Thursday in New Britain Superior Court to murder and attempted murder charges.
Naomi Bell, 44, waived her right to a probable cause hearing and entered the pleas during a brief hearing at New Britain Superior Court she took part from a prison via video conference.

Probable cause hearings are required for persons charged with crimes punishable by death or life imprisonment. The case now enters a pre-trial phase that could take months before it moves to trial or a plea agreement.

NEW BRITAIN A Connecticut mother accused of killing her teenage daughter and wounding her 7-year-old son pleaded not guilty to the charges on Thursday.
Naomi Bell, who grew up in Seymour and was living in Plymouth at the time of the incident, waived her right to a probable cause hearing and pleaded not guilty during a brief appearance via video conference in state Superior Court in New Britain.

BERLINÂ â A Meriden man faces charges after police used fingerprint and video evidence to connect him to two residential burglaries in July.Â
Kelvin Santiago, 32, of 74 N. First St., Meriden, was charged Jan. 8 with criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny and two counts each of third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.Â
Police investigated two residential burglaries in July 2020, Deputy Police Chief Chris Ciuci said in a release. Detective Scott Schreiner used DNA and video evidence to connect Santiago to the incidents, Ciuci said.Â

NEW BRITAINÂ â A Meriden man was arrested on Tuesday and charged in connection with a homicide in New Britain in October.Â
 Quincey Kamal Carraway, 21, of 188 Hillcrest Ave., Meriden, was charged with murder and carrying a pistol without a permit.Â
On Oct. 11 around 3 a.m. New Britain police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting occurred in a plaza at the corner of Stanley Street and Stratford Street, according to Carrawayâs arrest warrant. Â
Officers found a large crowd and an off-duty state police trooper giving medical aid to a man, identified as Courtney Jones, the warrant said. Jones was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead shortly before 4 a.m. An autopsy showed the cause of death was a gunshot wound  and the manner of death w
