The City of Las Cruces is taking a major move forward to attract new businesses to the city’s industrial park located on the West Mesa. At a City Council Work Session on February 22, Senior Real Estate Specialist Cilicia Villegas presented a new name for the industrial area, now called the Las Cruces Innovation & Industrial Park. The new name and a new logo will be used when recruiting businesses throughout the region and nation.
“This is a big step forward to tout what we have in Las Cruces,” said City Manager Ifo Pili who has been a vocal advocate of fostering economic development since he arrived in Las Cruces last year. “We have a gem with this industrial park that can immediately be competitive. We’ll be making improvements and creating incentives, but we have the infrastructure in place right now power, utilities, land to get companies to locate here.”
SPACEPORT AMERICA - Scott A. McLaughlin, a New Mexico native and a long-time business and engineering professional, has been selected by the New Mexico Spaceport Authority Board of Directors as the new executive director of Spaceport America, Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. McLaughlin graduated from New Mexico State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and has worked at several government agencies, including the U.S. Army Research Laboratory and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), as well as in the private sector with tech and engineering companies

SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes applaud key legislative initiatives that will grow the economy, create jobs, and provide for a new layer of economic security for New Mexico families and businesses.
The stimulus and relief measures are significant in reach, tackling all aspects of the pandemic-related economic emergency, including direct assistance to front-line workers, grants for small businesses, innovative licensing reforms, local purchasing initiatives, and long-term investments in early childhood education.
EndeavOR New Mexico Accomplishments And Milestones

Farmington EndeavOR New Mexico, the state’s Outdoor Recreation (OR) business alliance, has announced that the nonprofit has reached key milestones and achieved major accomplishments since launching in August of 2020.
During the past six months, endeavOR has surpassed 115 members from around the state comprised of outdoor recreation businesses and organizations, chambers and economic development professionals, municipalities, tribes, state & federal agencies, students and friends who want to see outdoor recreation in New Mexico become bigger and better.
“We were excited to be the 100th member of endeavOR and looking forward to being part of the Alliance network to learn best practices to assist us in growing our business,” said Chad Gaines, owner of UnBroken Trail in Grants.
