NEW YORK (ABC) Federal agents have carried out a search warrant at the home of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, sources tell ABC News.
The raid happened around six o’clock Wednesday morning. The warrant was in relation to an ongoing prove led by Federal Prosecutors from the Southern District New York concerning Guiliani’s alleged lobbying efforts abroad during the Trump presidency.
Sources say Guiliani’s electronic devices, including his cell phone, were confiscated.

Federal investigators in Manhattan executed a search warrant Wednesday at Rudy Giuliani s apartment as part of a probe into the former New York City mayor s activities involving Ukraine, his attorney told NPR.
Robert Costello said the FBI conducted the raid at Giuliani s apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at around 6 a.m. and seized electronic devices. He said the search warrants are connected to an investigation into possible violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act tied to Giuliani s Ukraine-related work.

Federal authorities raided the Manhattan apartment and offices of former President Donald Trump s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, on Wednesday amid a continuing investigation into the former New York mayor s dealings in Ukraine, his attorney said.
The move represents the highest-profile action yet as part of the inquiry into Giuliani s lobbying efforts in Ukraine at a time when he was searching for damaging information to assist Trump in the campaign against President Joe Biden.
The development was first reported by The New York Times.
Late Wednesday, Giuliani s lawyer, Robert Costello, issued a statement on his client s behalf renewing a campaign to discredit the Biden family while asserting that the former mayor had done nothing wrong.

New York Times, whose three anonymous sources say is an escalation of a criminal investigation into Mr. Giuliani s dealings in Ukraine.
According to the report,
Executing a search warrant is an extraordinary move for prosecutors to take against a lawyer, let alone a lawyer for a former president, and it marks a major turning point in the long-running investigation into Mr. Giuliani.
Among other things, Giuliani s electronic devices were reportedly seized as part of the search, according to one of the sources.
